I'm surprised that you didn't get it.
It's an old joke from us guys that were in the repair business or for those still in the business. The customer used to call or come in and give a Vague statement like my car stopped running, do you know what's wrong with it? Or it's doing this, do you know how much it will cost to fix?

The crystal ball is the "All knowing". All seeing!

I know why you didn't get it now. I just looked at your profile, your only 17.

Bmw could stand for "Break My Wallet", or "Brings more women",lol.

German cars are awhole different diagnosis experience.
Bmw's are not a difficult vehicle to work on. the most complicated portion of diagnosis on a german car is the bosch pin test which is supposed to be done per factory instructions usually followed while reading on a micro-fiche.
The MBZ's are notorious for over-engineered electronics. Especially the A/C/Heater controls.
Well the Porsches, especially the 911's of the earlier age before the non-acknowledged water cooled ones take alittle detailed training.
One thing for sure is that the German F.I. Systems are very efficent when it comes to A/Fuel control..

The hardest thing ive done was a headgasket on a Porche Boxster, The diagnoise is pretty easy until it gets to wiring. If all the wirings are intact, we have a Dianoistic Touch panel screen thingy that i just plug it into the BMW and it will tell me all codes and if everything is wokring, its pretty cool, but sucks when something is wrong with it.

But i cant complain, it does bring in alot of $$

I don't know. I think that most German upper end cars (like BMW/Porsche/Benz) are very straight forward. Mazda is probably the nearest Japanese manufacture to German standards. And german electrical is probably the easiest of all cars. I wish more used standardized wireing like they do.

I thought that's what I said About them not being difficult to work on that is.

It's the Proper testing of the F.I. system that takes attention to detail.

BMW = Big Military Wife??

PM Karack on this forum or call Chris at Wolf USA at (916) 289-0488. Wolf USA is in Sacramento, right near Auburn and Madison. Karack's shop (Rotary Evolution) is in Yuba City, 45 miles north of Sac. Either place offers incredible work at a very good price.
