Had the alternator apart to throw on the rear powder coated cover that I've had forever.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...2/DSC_0001.jpg Put it back together and had it tested at Autozone and passed without any problems http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...2/DSC_0003.jpg Clutch had a bunch of hair line cracks in it. Old ACT HD setup that I've had for about 4 years. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...DSC_0002-1.jpg Replaced it with a Sachs unit for the time being. See how long this one last. Pedal effort is lighter. If I don't like it then I might just pick up another ACT pressure plate. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...DSC_0005-1.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...DSC_0006-1.jpg New flywheel as well. Replaced an older SRmotorsports aluminum flywheel that has been beat down. Didn't want to go through SR to get a new friction disk. Just ordered a new steel ACT instead. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...DSC_0019-1.jpg New water pump. The impeller is made of aluminum instead of plastic and looks to have a deeper housing. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...2/DSC_0026.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...2/DSC_0027.jpg |

I made the mistake of putting the upper intake manifold back on before testing the fuel system for leaks and sure enough I had a leak when I turned the fuel pump online by one of my hose clamps. Pulled the mani off and just had to tighten the hose clamp. Found that I had a leak on the coolant line to the throttle body as well.
After cranking to engine over without any fuel or ignition or about a minute just to verify that oil pressure was building on my gauge. I started it for the first time and fired right up! http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...h_MVI_2156.jpg |
Wow! Great build and right up. Beautiful car! Props and welcome!
