I went to 3rd gen cars for sale and see nothing so I guess every old ad is gone now? The complete database of RX-7 prices for cars and parts over the years?
I don't think I was the only one using those old posts for research.

The old and the new don't mix, but the old is still here: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...-vehicles-107/ We will turn off posting in a couple of months, and will leave the section as an archive for exactly the reasons you indicate.

1. I created a for-sale thread and the thumbnail is blank because the original post did not have pictures attached. Can a picture be added to for-sale threads after the thread has been created so that a picture shows up in the thumbnail of the thread?
2. Is there a search function in the new classifieds?

I think the thumbnail not appearing if you don't include an image when you submit is a known bug, I don't think going back and adding after submitting will create a thumbnail.
If you click on any of the identifiers currently set up, the search pane will appear on the left of the browser window. We are working on the next update which will move the search pane to the header section to make it more visible/accessible.

Forums have steadily declined over the past few years and adding 'complicated' features like this do not encourage activity. I posted a WTB for an FC mirror and had to go through a slew of fields for something that would have taken me a minute to post prior. Keep it simple or we're going to lose even more folks to facebook marketplace.
The new marketplace is terrible, this change will significantly impact people to continue to use RX7Club for Cars/Parts sales and will force people to look at Facebook unfortunately. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old Marketplace, so why the sudden change?

I'm not a fan that everything is pooled together and you have to select that you want to see 3rd gen parts..... for example. I do like the thumbnail feature though. That's cool

Looking for constructive criticism, what are things you would like to see improved? I can't action a complaint without a suggestion
We are working on an update to move the search pane stuff into the header area to make it more obvious that you can search multiple fields at once. What else can we do?

Revert it to the old style I think is the general consensus. It's certainly how I feel.

The new section seems abysmally functional. Nothing is sorted by gen or car/parts or easily visible as for sale/want to buy/for trade/etc. I have gotten virtually zero response to anything posted since the change.
I'm not sure what this was supposed to accomplish, or what was wrong with the prior format that lasted for 20 years, but it seems to be several steps in the wrong direction.

Seems I might be in the minority but I like the new marketplace. Filters work pretty well and it's easier (faster) to interpret separate items within listings that include multiple items.

Can you link me to the specific forum please? you should be able to create a new thread there.
I think it's more complex and takes longer to navigate. I think it will discourage both sellers and buyers from using it. Parts are scarce as it is, the system to buy and sell should be simple. I'm not a fan of the change.
Tho I’m not a huge fan of the “ New “ marketplace, I suppose change is inevitable. The only piece of constructive criticism that I can give here is that unlike the old for-sale section, the new marketplace can be viewed by anyone without an account here. I preferred having another layer ( having to log in ) which helped sift out a lot of bogus individuals. Some sellers post their PayPal info, emails, etc. which could be viewed by anyone passing thru. I’ve always found the ability to look at someone’s profile, and read their feedback a bonus. Tho I understand that if you choose to include your contact info in the post, you do so at your own risk.

I guess from that point of view sure. Having said that ~ What turns one on, infuriates another.
