I've just recently become a part of this and am trying to use it to help my search for a clean FD shell, but i have heard multiple things about how many posts it takes to access the classifieds so if someone could help clear that up for me that'd be awesome!

I've been on here for almost 2 years, made an account a year ago, then all of a sudden I can't view classifieds anymore. Super frustrating.

 

Looks like it must be minimum 10 posts as mentioned in the other thread and based on what GarageDriven has said.
I'm having the same issue.

 

I guess I have to keep posting until I can see the classifieds

 

Also looking for shells here, unsure whether it is 5 or 10 posts.

 

I've seen ten, as the magic number. But, I've also seen someone say their 12 posts weren't enough. Good luck!

 

Post number 3 - I guess 7 more to go until I can see classifieds.

Seems like a very counter productive rule - good way to stop the growth of the new members by cutting off getting a car that the website is about.

But I am sure that there are "reasons" why limiting access to classifieds makes sense to someone.

 

I've been using this site for the great info and content...along with the opportunity to find specific parts for my FD...i guess I will be adding to this in order to reach the 10, 11, etc. amount needed

 

So has anyone confirmed it takes 10 posts?

Well it says 5 posts to reply to post your own add, but when did the forum start the new system where you wont even be able to see the classifieds section at all?

 

 

seems kind of hard for new users, I used to just like browsing classified and lurking around to read stuff. now I made an account just to try to do the same thing. I also feel like I don't know enough to contribute much at this point. hopefully that will change soon.

 

Did this change at some point? I recall that I could view classifieds before as a non-forum member.

 

if u log out, u should be able to see the classifieds just as u did before registering an account.
