Just curious - there's such a wealth of knowledge that I am learning from the site, and while I haven't yet had that much to offer to the discussions it is limiting not to be able to PM. I wonder if a min number of posts || a certain length of a registered account should enable PMs.

Yeah, I don't doubt the good intentions of such a policy, but it does have some poor byproducts. I'm deep into the restoration of a 1993 FD now, and could have never done it without the content here.... Instead of just posing a question though, I tend to research and search aggressively (which is I think preferable to just the same old questions over and over....)

But still stinks I haven't yet earned the right to PM :-)
