What the hell?

Tech and Performance -> Rotary Performance -> Other Engine Conversions??? What do V8 and other non-rotary engine conversions have to do with "rotary performance"?

My V8 thread has the most views of any tech-related thread on the entire forum, not to mention the fact that I'm developing parts that are 3rd gen. specific and can be used by ANYONE with an FD, and now it's stuffed in the broom closet where no one will find it because a couple babies complained about seeing one or two V8 threads a month?

My car is still a 3rd gen. Please move my thread back to the 3rd gen. specific forum where it belongs before I have to get cranky about it.

LOL! 'Other' piston engine conversions under 'Rotary Performance'? That makes a lot of sense... I'm actually surprised I found it!

Better start bitchin'!

Yeah, the first place I'd think to look if I wanted information on alternative engine conversions would be the "rotary performance" forum... NOT.

I think rather than moving this thread back they should just move the entire section to somewhere else...or maybe just its own section all together instead of a sub section.

Jim-

A simple request concerning your thread to be moved back into the 3rd Gen section would have been fine.

While the thought of "other engines" doesn't quite mingle with the sub forum "Rotary Performance", it doesn't mean that it was going to be a permanent solution. Rather, it was to accommodate some of the numerous requests in which we are attempting to provide an area to discuss your heart out with regards to the piston engine conversion. There was going to be a new main forum, while a few threads were gathered to determine if there was merit for one.

And with regards with me being "got trigger happy" and the fact that I didn't ask for any "consultation"; last time I checked I do no recall having to ask for your opinion on the matter.

I will fulfill your immature request to move it back after I finish a few other things.

I apologize for the fruitfulness of this thread, but it is frustrating when an attempt to further expand the community (for a good cause, mind you); while receiving resistance and writing tone from someone who thinks they are better than others...

Mike

Perhaps, but it shouldn't have been necessary in the first place. It's one thing to move the pointless ranting and raving threads, but mine is a pure tech thread that gets a LOT of traffic and is usually very civil in nature. Hell, it's a historical landmark as far as the 3rd gen. forum is concerned.
Jim, is this really necessary? It is a historical landmark for the 3rd gen section? While I would agree that your thread is *neat* among other things, but you need to get off your high horse.

The purpose of moving the thread was to essentially give you your own *area* for discussion. It wasn't to take away credit of your accomplishments, or to step on any toes. But rather than acknowledging this (or the attempt anyhow), you again go on like you are some god because you have money to spend on a car.

Jim, I do not think there was anything immature here. Rather, I just quoted a few things you mentioned about me in my actions. In the perspective of this thread, you did not approach this thread in mature way of simply requesting that this thread be moved back to a place where you can get more recognition for your efforts.

I've spent thousands of dollars with Jason, donated a few hundred dollars to the forum, organized several group purchases which have saved other forum members hundreds of dollars, and developed more parts for the FD than 99% of the rotary-engine owners on this forum... you're right, I don't deserve any respect or consideration whatsoever...
Good for you.. I hope you continue in supporting this forum. Jim, you of all people should know the difference between respect and consideration vs. a pompous egocentric ***. I have always had respect for your choices, decisions, and project direction.

Do not joke yourself into thinking that you do not have any respect here, but do understand that my decisions in accommodating many may not have any consideration to one individual, but all. If you approach the situation with some meaningful constructive criticism, then your opinion and thoughts would be welcomed.

Everything in this thread has nothing to do with my "respect" for you. Rather, it was for a place which one could devote their own section to this sort of discussion.

You sound remarkably like someone who is upset because they got their hand slapped. Is there any truth to that theory? Considering that you're quoting directly from the PM that I sent to rxrotary2_7, I'd assume so, but thanks for being mature enough not to take it out on me...
I do not understand this quote. Would you care to elaborate? How would I have my hand slapped? I quoted those few quotes for you to further understand my point of not approaching this in a mature way.

If you believe that I was asked / advised / directed to move any threads what-so-ever, you are completely incorrect. I chose to move your thread back because of the underlying topic of respect. I do disagree on how you approached this situation, and that is what I have been primarily discussing with you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. But do not assume the course of my actions.

Thanks,

Mike

If I ever get my wankle back, I would love to...

We both have quite a bit invested, but Jim has the edge on me. I am just curious how he can continue to eat fruid and **** out $100.00 bills.

Are you the one on top or on the bottom?
