jdmdon's track LS FD build!

Figured I would post my build over here as well. Plan for the car is to road race the car and still have it kind of streetable, if I end up having more time to track it I would like to upgrade some things and go with a full cage instead of the bolt-in autopower setup. Here it is, let me know what you guys think!

Here are some pictures of me starting to clean up the bay and his "FAST" hack job. The bay was a disaster, so that was my main focus to clean up first! Then body work and paint! Color is SEMs flat silver and gunmetal mixed to lighten it up a bit.

Wheels came, had to fit them!

Back to the never ending sanding, well worth it though!

Here are some pictures of parts going on the car, as well as my motor build. It's a stock bottom LS1 with ls6 heads, mild cam, and ls6 intake.

Thanks, and it is that lizard skin thermal coating then I sprayed the body color over it. I don't plan on running carpet and wanted to try and keep the cabin temps down as much as possible. Would I do it again? NO, it will probably work great for the temps but it just makes it a pain to work on, the **** is like laying on rough sandpaper, and impossible to clean properly. IF I was running carpet over it, that would be great, but exposed it's no fun!

Well in that case it does hide imperfections, and not enough to care. Maybe 10lbs max, but the temperature difference is supposed to be huge! I will have to see and let you know!
