ok... where were you in the 23874327482734723742974327487438747329487676215347 6 rotary/piston debates...

YeeHaw, I guess I'm a hick.

I am a hick also.

Why are people hicks for choosing reliability, and the cost of replacement parts over exclusivity? In a way becoming more exclusive... To each is his own...
|
I'm a hick!
Here is an interesting little stat for you: Since my hick-like RX-7 has been converted to piston power it's the LONGEST it's gone since I bought it in 1998 without a major engine related failure. Plus it's faster and it sounds better. |
i've been through a few turbo'd imports including 2 13brew's in 14k miles, so put me on that "hick list".

Who here wants to bet that ricerurner has mufflers the sive of oil drums sticking out of the back of his car???
I know his type, if he had a civic I bet he'd be walking around telling people how his 1.8L motor is better/ faster than an "old tech. 350." He probably also thinks the more stickers and japaneese writing you put on a car the faster it will go! Riceburner... if you can tell us all how to get 400+ lb/ft of torque out of a rotory motor without spending gobs of money and keep the car streetable / reliable (and be able to run on the cheap stuff at the gas station ;) ), most of us wouldn't feel the need to put a practical motor in an Rx7! |
riceburner1r2001:piss: who ever comes on the forum and calls someone a hick without any knowledge about how efficent a swap it is then is a dumbass
|
Who said the swap was efficient?
It's like trying to put a thread through a needle with a Caterpiller instead of your fingers is how I see it. Originally posted by tbielobockie I'm a hick! Well thats the problem its how "you see it" i dont think you understand because i sure dont understand what your talking about. You see with the ls1 swap youll get better mpg, power curve, cheaper power , reliablity, sounds bad ass , fits better than the rotary, easier to work on . If that doesnt sound efficient then what is? |
