help with security syst.

89 convertible 305 V8, a simple one wire cut to kill the security system, this car was owned by a teenager and the wiring is AFU, so the alarm goes off when ever it wants like the middle of the night, any help would make my wife happy (getting a full nights sleep) would make me happy too.

put a battery disconnect on the positive...or just disconnect the battery until you can find a solution.
Cheap fix: https://www.amazon.com/Post-Battery-.../dp/B001N729FS

Sounds like we are RX7 doppelgangers

Post a pic of the remote/fob or of the actual brain/control unit that is under the dash. Sounds like there is an issue with either the door pins/"dome" light that was used for the alarm or an issue with a shock sensor/sensitivity.

Short term fix is pull the fuse for the unit. Chances are they are going to be green 30A fuses on thick-ish red wires.
