First time build questions

Hey yall, im a 26 yr old 8 year army vet about to drop a 351w carbed into a 1984 mazda rx7. No clue what needs to be done to fit that massive power plant into this thing. My plans are 351w N/A holley 700 4 barrel carb, t56 trans. 31 spline rear axle. Debating on the ford 8.8 or just doing an axle swap. But what do i need to know abput the changes and mods to the integrity of the chassis to fit the motor. Any ideas?

Can't help you much as I'm more familiar with LS/FD. Are you on norotors.com? Great site for swapped RX-7s, highly recommended!

when i started my 351 swap all i had to do was reverse the cross member. buy granny's mounts or make your own as i did.
also front springs are going to be 300 lb per inch or more.
motor was easy to install by myself

+1 on norotors, I have an LT1 in my 85. You will need to fab your own transmission crossmember, how are you getting the T56 to work with the 351?
