So since I have a complete 98 explorer v8 and t5 can I just use the ECU harness and everything for the explorer all the threads to put these in mustang say to swap this and that but it's going in a clean slate correct.? Yes I know I need the double sumo oil pan

 

I'm sure you can do it, but keep in mind most of the the documentation regarding 5.0 efi swaps assume you'll be using a fox body ecu and harness, also to my limited knowledge the explorer was the only OBDII application of the 5.0 so there may be some extra wiring fuckery. I immediately gave up on EFI and just threw a carb on my swap, glad to see so many other people aren't as cheap and lazy as I am.

 

shouldnt be a problem assuming you have ignition power from the chassis to the engine harness.
