Dyno question

So last weekend I went to a dyno day with my fc. When the guy was setting it up he hooked up the ignition pickup to the trailing number 1 wire. Shouldn't it have been hooked up to the leading ignition wire? At the top end of my dyno sheet it got a bit wavy but I don't have any misfires and my afrs are good. I was wondering if it was because of the hookup or I have other issues.

Nevermind the ignition pick up... It is supposed to be on the trailing coil. I will upload my dyno sheets later if someone can give me some pointers on why my curve got wavy closer to peak. Thanks.

you can do either but the settings have to be changed on the ignition angle since the leading is waste spark and fires twice as often as the trailing. i find the trailing ignition signal is weaker than the leading so often i choose to use the leading signals and place the pickup near the plug and not the coil.

lead angle is 180*
trailing angle is 360*
