245's tires and your 60 foot was on the weak side.... GEt new clutch and maybe an lsd rear end then go try that launch again.

^^ should get u in the high 14's with a nice launch.

I think you should drop the 17s and put the stockers on, its pretty tough to get those to rotate on an na

junito1 05-23-09 02:31 PM

Its hard with the turbo too.. LOL I have 255/40/17's and i have to luanch at around 5,000 on the streets.

are you serious? go put some 15in wheels on and go for a drive. 17s are big for na's and throw the final drive gear ratio to hell.

In other words smaller wheels will help in the acceleration.

There is no reason you can't pull a hi 14.

I pull low 14s on 17" wheels, on my S4 n/a....

Red_Rotor 05-27-09 03:48 PM

whats the diff with the tire size as long as the wheel diameter is the same as stock. like puting low pro tires on a bigger rim. the wheel is the same size

the tire height is same as stock and I have gram lights they aren't any heavier than the stock wheels

Last time I got 98 MPH. I have removed alot of weight out of the car. This the main reason its so fast. Its basically a shell. My 60' times are terrible without slicks. I run about 2.1 to 2.3 seconds. I spin 1st gear, 2nd and some of 3rd everytime.

When I run the wet shot and extra injector, I pull almost 2 full seconds, but thats with running slicks also.

ya im a full weight GXL lol everything is still in the car mainly cause it all still works even the rear washer lol
