87 TII dyno runs 450whp!

so i made a trip to the dyno today to test out my new turbo setup, which included a new long runner manifold, 3.5 inch downpipe from Turblown, and T04Z turbo with 1.15 AR. the rest of the mods on the car are..

stock internals brand new S5 motor
supra TT pump
aeromotive FPR
parallel AN fuel system W/ KG rails
850cc prim 1600cc sec
greddy FMIC
custom 4 inch cold air intake
microtech LT10s
coolingmist trunkmount kit
ECT ECT

so my old setup was a greddy cast manifold, 3 inch downpipe and T04R turbo.. i made 380WHP with that setup at 15psi, with the new turbo setup i made 411WHP at 15psi, then we did a high boost run 18psi with methenol injection, we made 450WHP and decided to stop there due to the motor being stock, the tuner was concerned with the motor not being dowl pinned/studded, he said the motor would be likely to flex and start braking irons, he said on the street this would never happen but on the dyno it was likely because it puts so much more stress on the motor. The car is absolutely nuts to drive!! going from 380 to 450WHP made a world of difference, i cant even believe it! i have tons of dyno sheets that i will be posting up shortly so stay tuned

So did the methanol injection make a difference? I've been reading about this a lot lately, and I've been wondering if this is the solution for keeping these engines cool and reliable at high hp levels.

Very nice. Is this stock port? What octane fuel and water/meth mixture did you use? And did you notice your inj duty cycle by chance?

Good numbers..
Your tuner is right.. I cracked my front plate on the dyno the 1st go around so I had it pinned.
here is my setup just for clarification.

S4 motor with 440HP at 13lbs of boost ( in an 85 GSL-SE 1st gen)
streetported running on 93 pump gas
T-70 with an 84 hot side and an HKS manifold.
Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump
720/1600cc injectors
NPR fmic
Microtech lt-8

thanks for the comments everyone! ill answer some questions now...first off yes the meth made a big difference, intake manifold felt like ice after a dyno pull..this motor is bone stock internals, no porting at all, i was running 93 pump gas and 50/50 meth water, and i think my injector duty was 40% at 15psi and 65% at 18psi...im not 100% sure though. i knew i had plenty of fuel so i wasn't to concerned with keeping track of the duty cycle. Here is one of the dyno sheets.. this is is the top 2 runs we had all day at 18psi and the 380whp run from a while ago on the old setup. [IMG][/IMG]

sorry the colors didnt show up well, this is the first time ive ever scanned something believe it or not lol also i am in the process of building a new motor by myself, its going to have race ported secondary ports and street port primaries. then im using rx8 e shaft and the stronger casting irons, new rotor housings, 3mm cryo treated apex seals, dowl pinned/studded, my goal for this new motor is 600whp, its going to be a long build though so it probably wont be done until next summer, the new restoration/turbo setup has drained my funds and im in the process of looking for a house so the 7 is now on the back burner for a while..
i cant wait to get this car to the track and see what kind of quarter mile times i can do with 450whp or crank the boost up to 20psi to get closer to 475-500. any ideas what times i may get with my power? j-rat could probably tell me that...lol

what size injectors you running for the 50/50? and injecting at what PSI? do you have a controller for it, or is it a basic kit where it comes full on when it hits your set psi?
