How much boost?

Rotary >Pistons

WAFC3S 01-05-13 12:40 AM

12 psi at 3600rpm
buy I'm using 2 step so I'm building 3psi off the line

wthdidusay82 01-05-13 12:28 PM

what's ecu are you running to provide you with the 2 step

Rotary >Pistons

WAFC3S 01-06-13 10:42 PM

microtech lt 10

-RotorDemon- 01-07-13 12:28 AM

13.84 @ 102 Mild streetport, Racing beat full exhaust. Nothing else.

wthdidusay82 01-08-13 11:39 PM

That's a fast time for your power/boost.

I hope you have a fcd if you're running higher than stock boost.

Have you dynoed it

He's running a Microtech. Standalone.

wthdidusay82 01-09-13 01:48 AM

Seems like standalone is the way to go but I really can't afford it.

I'm hoping to get at least 200-250whp out of the stock ecu/fuel system/turbo with a fcd.

I've got a 3" turboback exhaust, is an s4

I'm going to get an rtek if possible.

Don't get a FCD it's just a band-aid. Get atleast a rtek

wthdidusay82 01-09-13 08:28 AM

If I can't get a rtek I need at least a fcd.

Running the 3" exhaust is going to bring up the boost, I do plan on porting the wastegate and using a stock intake to reduce the amount it goes up.

it's got 216whp. I just ran a 13.57 @ 103.4 on wed night.

Must be fast

the stock injectors can support the mid point of your whp goal safely. however, w/the FCD, 9 psi boost is max if you want the engine to survive. along w/your setup expect the lower range of your goal. is wise to spend the little extra on at least the Rtek7 v 1.5.

9psi it is then it less! I have a 3" exhaust so I'll need to figure out how to restrict the boost down to 9 psi or lower.

Was going to port waste gate and use stock intake if that'll do it.

Edit - I think the car may have a fcd installed already. Its a black box near the boost sensor. I'll take a pic

Rising rate FPR works well too.

Cool set up :icon_tup:.

I remember back in the early and mid 1990'2 cars had to have at least 350 hp to run in the 13's.

scmetfan 02-03-13 07:19 PM

Good time... Still amazes me how quick these cars are without much power. Weight and rwd will do that I guess! I'm coming from FWD's

Rx7s are boss that's why

too right they are. I just dicovered that I did my last run of 13.57 at only 9psi as my boost controller was at its low setting lol
