To go with this how did the NA drivetrain hold up with slicks?

Boost goes up to 13 psi and tapers off down to around 8 or 9 psi. its a rebuilt bnr stage 1 with a manual boost controller. you can see the boost drop off on the gauge on the pillar.
The NA drivetrain did a lot better than I expected. I got crazy wheel hop with my stock tires and I'm pretty sure I would have broken something. The diff didnt even clunk when launching at 7k on the slicks. Keep in mind this was a 4 lug car so I have an open diff. That is partially why I didnt do a burnout, one tire would have been wet while the other would have been toasty. The other reason I didnt do a burnout was so I didnt put even more stress on the drivetrain. The slicks were 26x8.50x16LT They were borrowed from a friend's speed3. no rubbing without any spacers. launching at 7k only caused wheel spin if I dumped the clutch(second video posted above). The LSD I have should help with that.. Attachment 660360 |
