What happened? Anyone? Mods in Sig. I went to NOPI this weekend, got on the dyno (Dyno-Go or something). I put down some crazy ass numbers, because of what I think is the car being an Auto! He could not get it to ever get in the gear he wanted. I have a sheet I will scan for later but now I will just give numbers.

He said something must be wrong with my transmission converter? What the hell is really going on? Cars runs fast as hell on the street, as I pulled an LS1 Camaro that put down 305.

What happened on all of the runs? This is at 10 PSI. I was expecting a good 290.

Did they hook the dyno up wrong? Wrong plug wires? 4th gear pull?... Is your engine blown?

....and this is gonna be on TV? Your semi-heavily modded pink(ish) FD putting down 177 rwhp is going to be on TV!?!?!?! :ohno:

Dude, I don't know what is wrong. Engine is not blown, but on TV I don't think they tell what kind of numbers it put down. He did mention that it was messin up and that it should put down 300+ hp :bigthumb: I don't hink they hooked it up wrong, since I didn't even know that was possible. When I saw that first number I was shocked. Then it went down from there and I was like get it off the dyno.

Since when do 7's make more torque than horsepower?

dont think u are gettign secondary boost.
do u have a boost gauge?

I am getting secondary boost, pulled a perfect 10-8-10. Car runs hard as hell, dyno numbers just didn't show it.

my car was doing the same thing and i was thinking it got a boost leak
yea my car pulls hard too but something going wrong somewhere i guess
i got more torque than HP !!!!
the max run i got was like 248 hp with 260 torque :rolleyes:

wow another auto owner!! haha, did you try doing a hold downshift? like put the car in s mode hit the hold button when the speedo says about 40 and drop it into L? or how exactly did you do it?

No, the run had to be done in 3rd gear, so I told them to put it in S. The guy was having trouble because he could not keep it in gear, everytime he would hit it it would downshift and he said that it shouldn't do that. I was always told that it was supposed to downshift?

yeah that doesn't cut it man... you gotta put it in hold, shoulda went... L while in hold, shift up to S while in hold and it should've stayed in 3rd gear.

Dude, I don't have a hold button. Power FC took that out.

max dyno run hp doesn't tell the whole story. Whats the graph look like?

I've heard of guys both doing a dyno run, one was about 80hp stronger on the dyno. When they left, they raced away and guy with the lower number smoked the other guy.

The graph looks horrendous/ I am going to scan it soon but let me attach a drawing of what it looks like.

its an auto..? they read a lot less hp on the dyno I think because a lot is lost due to auto tranny..

I put down 290rwhp at 12psi.. I don't think you could do the same at 10psi with an auto. Balljoint put down about 310rwhp and he has a shit load more mods than both of us, and he's also auto.

I have everything possible except a midpipe. Also streetported. I have seen a manual put down 309 @ 10 PSI with a midpipe. I was expecting 290. But you guys act like it should be 226? I beat a Camaro that dynoed 302 rwhp by about 3 cars. Also on the dyno the graph cuts off at 5700 RPMS. What is up with that? I told them to go to 7200.

only going to 5700 will give you a wrong # to compare to other cars whose pulls went to 7000+

Well they said they went to 7000 but the graph did not read it.

Yeah man you need to take it higher. I took it to 7500 when I put down 310whp. are you tuned yet? Also did you add a extra tranny cooler when you got rid of the stock radiater cause that could screw things up... . How I dyno is I put it in S and go from 70mph, The car wont down shift at that speed so youll get a reading from like 4-3.5 and on. Good luck
