Would like to buy Axis Hiro 19''
 

I'm currently using 18x8 Front and 18x9 Rear. Now I have order a new Tein Super Tech Spring Kit on Ebay that drop 1.4 Front and 1.3 Rear. At the same time I will change my Privat Fahren to go with Axis Hiro 19'' I fall in love with those wheels.The best setup I saw look like this :

2-19x9.5 MOUNTED WITH 265/30R19


What do you think about that setup!! Problem or not ? I dont know exactly the offset of those wheels. If somebody know the answer write it on this thread.

The fronts will need to be +45 to +50 offset to be streetable if you are lowering the car that much and running 19s.

19s are too big a diameter wheel. The SSR GT-2 looks nearly identical to that wheel, is probably lighter, and you can get it in the same sizes with good offsets.

What about this setup Rynberg ?

Front 18x8.5 offset +40 or +45 with 235/40-18 Diameter=25,4 Circ=79,8

I am currently running a 235/40 18 on an 18x8.5 +45 up front. My car is lowered pretty far -- I do not have issues with catching the fender lip but do hit the fender liner on harder dips. I will be running a 245/35 tire instead the next time I get new tires. I can dial out the height difference between the 245/35 fronts and 265/35 rears as I will be running coilovers.

The tire sidewall with 19s would be just too short for anything but glass smooth surfaces/shows, IMO. Other people have different opinions...:)

I run a stock sized wheel and tire combo at stock ride height and I still rub the lip and liner on occasion. I have also managed to scrape the R1 lip on level surfaces by doing nothing but slowing down ;)

Damon, Now that's what I call low-ridin'. I've seen bagged-out impala's with dubs that aren't tuckin' as much as your front wheels. Sweet!

That pic was taken during hard braking on race tires, that's why the nose is tucked so far down.

I think the differences are: 1) I'm still running street tires and 2) my springs are 50% stiffer than yours...:) I do compress enough on street tires to hit the liners on bumpier sections of the track. One of the reasons I wanted to go with coilovers was to get the stiffer spring rates I wanted while being able to raise the car back up a little bit from the normal lowering spring height drop.

That's quite a pic under braking though, holy nose dive batman! :eek: :D

I'll bet that Rynberg has a little stiffer springs than you do. ;)

Yeah, I know. I was just giving you a hard time :)

The bottom corners of my lip are scraped up for exactly the same reason. I've just never gotten a pic of my car under hard-braking, so I've never really seen what the FD looks like under full load.

Here's my "under braking" pic.... I do scrape on the track, but my front in only about 3 or so inches off the ground anyways. ;)
