Quick question about trimming OEM bump stops on an FD, been scouring the forum and can't find a definitive answer. Replacing my worn out stock suspension with Koni Sport dampers, Tein H.Tech springs, and all new rubber mounting hardware (a huge thank you to @gracer7-rx7 for the wealth of information you've shared on this setup, and hope you don't mind me using a couple of your images below). The instructions for the Tein springs state I need to trim 0.8" off the bottom of the rear bump stops. Before I hack up my new upper spring mounts, I am hoping to gain a better understanding of where I'm cutting. It seems that the dust boot is molded around the bump stop, and the bottom of the bump stop only extends a couple tenths of an inch below the top of the dust boot:
If I cut 0.8" off the bottom of the bump stop, I would essentially be cutting off the dust boot entirely. Is this correct?

Been a long time since I looked at those but sounds like you're on the right track.
Why not remove those hard bump stops and go with more modern, progressive foam bump stops?
I think I'm the only person to ever screw around with FD bump stops - besides you now.
