I thought the T1R's fixed the soft side-wall problem the old T1S's have?

I got the Kumho MX from Tire Rack and got them installed on Saturday. So far they feel great.

I was concerned about getting to Toyos for the reasons people stated - that soft mushy feeling. Thinking back to when I first installed my T1S on my BMW, I do remember being rather unsatisfied at first b/c of the softness and that floating sensation. I remember that it took me a while to gain confidence in the tire but once I did I enjoyed them on the street. While they were soft and turn in was a bit slow, they did feel good at the limit and just cruising around on the street. They absolutely kicked ass in the rain.

The MXs definitely don't feel mushy and floaty. They are quieter than expected which is nice and feel pretty direct. I was driving around in damp conditions yesterday and they felt very controllable and communicative. They are pretty quiet as well. At one point I spun them making a right hand turn on damp roads and just kept my foot in it for a while. No wheel hop or noise.

I'll post back after some time in the dry. Thanks for recommendations fellas!
