Tire/Wheel Fitment
Will I run into any rubbing issues with the following set up?
18x8 / 46 offset with 225/40/18 tire 18x9 / 44 offset with 265/35/18 tire I've checked this setup with the JimLab tire and wheel sizing spreadsheet and got the following results: front outer clearance = 0.81" front inner clearance = 1.19" rear outer clearance = 0.48" rear inner clearnce = 0.52" Is the spreadsheet fairly accurate? Any other recommendations for tire size? Can I go wider on the front? like, 245/35/18 perhaps and still avoid rubbing issues? I'm also running on coilovers which i believe is actually smaller than the stock springs and shock assembly. So, I think I should be good as far as inner clearance goes. Any thoughts? Thanks for any input. |
The setup would fit fine, but you could fit 235/40 up front.
Actually, you could run the 18x9 +44 all around with 255/35s and be able to rotate tires. |
thanks for the input rynberg! actually, I already bought the rims 18x8 and 18x9, front and rear. So, I guess I'll just have to go with 235 front and 265 rear as you have suggested. Thanks.
