Wait!!!
Does anyone know about the wait time on these. I ran into a guy this weekend who told me these had a waiting list. Is this true. I'll call them Monday, just trynna find out if anyone else has heard this or if it's rumor.
you have to put a deposit if you want to get a set when they get shipment.
when i ordered my set almost a year ago they had told me they would do it in shipments... so u had to wait for the shipments... i was lucky enough to catch the latest shipment and i received them in less than a week!!! i heard 240 guys however have to wait months!!!

hey guys i just installed my new MAX coilovers and could only get -1.5 degrees of negative camber up front max, but my castor was 6mm which is awesome but no camber, is this just because of maxes unusal design where the camber plate is diaganol
so wait with the coils installed.... which way should the top mounts face: like this / (toward the motor) or like \ (toward the fan shroud)?? and what if they are facing the wrong way? thanks

hey i was wondering if you guys can clear things up on how they are to look when installed. these diagonal facing top hats are confusing. just wanted to know which way is proper for them to be facing. like the way they are facing for overboost in his picture or like mine in my pix? which is the correct directions? thanks

TYVM :) and by the way these are stiff. when i need to replace the shocks in the future i will also swap for the 8/6 springs setup

what intake is that in the black fc and where can i get one?

Powered by Max has nothing to do with USA or Japan. The coilovers are made in Taiwan by a company called Windflowers RIGHT HERE.
These are a D2 knock-off design. The same as Pettit, Ksport, DG-5 (Kei Office), Apexi, Megan, Buddy Club, Skunk2, and even Tein. They all share similar technology because they all go back to the original source, D2. Yes some of them test differently, Apexi tests at Twin Ring Motegi. But the history all goes back to D2 which was once a British company. Take a look at this thread for some more information. http://forums.clubrsx.com/attachment...1&d=1235728556 While the $1,000 price tag sounds pretty good, keep in mind this is the damper you're buying: http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/e107_fil...3_p1050267.jpg I don't know much about shock dynos, but if someone cars to have a look here they are: http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/e107_plu...wtopic.php?962 |
LOL! Nicely done, GodSquad. Not trying to down anyone's purchase-just be smart and understand what you're getting into-from what/where materials are sourced to why camber/castor plates must align a certain way. When it comes to suspension tuning, practice mentally/write shit down so it becomes second nature. You'll feel so much better at a track knowing WHY you have to adjust something a certain way.

Thanks for the info I was weighing heavily on getting these as I read these were made in Japan by legitimate drifters who wanted the best bang for their buck. I will no longer be purchasing these and will probably go back to my original idea of getting Tien Flex.
Tein is made very close to where these are in Taiwan, but apparently there is a huge difference in the quality if the shock. Even their Tein is made in Taiwan they test on Twin Ring Motegi. My guess is they just have a much bigger R&D budget

Angels, but u dropped the spring as well no?
Just ordered mine should be here on monday:-)
Recieved them today well packaged, very beefy and everything look great. started to install them and unfortunately can't because the lower mounting hole don't line up it is like a few centimeters off =/ I can try hammering or filing down but I paid close to $1100 & I believe they should fit perfect without any modifications. Will give them a call in the morning and see what can be done.

How do these compare to bc racing br coil overs? Bc is local to me, so I might give them a shot?
I would go with bc because I was told from pbm that I have to mod my knuckle for them to fit correctly. Don't know what's up with that since no one here has ever mentioned that
sick coils just order me a set cant wait to get them
Love mine, I got the new version about six months ago and am extremely impressed with the quality and ride. Definitely stiff, but not jarring or uncomfortable. Excellent daily/track coils.
