Calling me out now and insulting me?

Look who needs to take the chill pill and take this shit with some humor?

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

whats your definition of flush?

imo anything greater that +32ish will not fit on the front... my 17x8 +35s i used to run on the front required a 5mm slip on spacer to clear the coilies...

i have a set of cusco camber tops floating around if you want them ... moved up to supernow tops myself :)

Free camber tops? Because Maczpyne offered me a set for $160 (with a 100% return policy lol)

My 17x8's are a 30mm offset, and with 225/45/17's there's not much room at all between them and the stock suspension, and the coilovers didn't really gain me anything either. They're pretty flush, and don't ever rub on stock unrolled fenders. Go closer in and you risk rubbing the spring, go further out and you risk rubbing the fender.

well, i'll need spacers, and maybe those camber plates.

Get wheels that fit.
Too late for that now. I've got too much time/ money into these already.

heres what i have in mind:

Attachment 700018

and according to http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm i'll need a 10mm spacer on the front.

hows that sound?

chozenfc3s 08-16-07 03:44 PM

I am going for a LUX/VIP style with my vert and I need to know if could fit a set of 19x10 +20 w/245-35-19 all around. here's what i have done

I have Tein S-tech springs (I hope soon to be Stance GR+) and +25mm F Origin fenders and rolled and pulled rear fenders (will get +30mm if needed to make these fit) will this fit on my fc?

Josh18_2k 08-16-07 05:35 PM

you shouldnt need a spacer with 17x8 +30 with 225's. i had 245/40/17 up front on the same wheel (with tein flexs) for a couple years. the fender needed rolling of course, but there was no rubbage on the inside.
there is a possibility flex's have more clearance than other coilovers, but i dont know anything about that.

Black91n/a 08-16-07 07:59 PM

Mine are +30mm, the ones he's looking at were +45mm, so yes, a spacer is needed.

Be careful, those S-Tech springs have even less clearance than stock due to the shape of the spring.

My Tein Flex didn't seem to offer much more wheel and tire clearance than I had before, but I've never gone beyond 225's yet.

First of all, you shouldn't define a word with the word you are defining. Second, you shouldn't trust all Internet sites for accurate research or definitions. Third, leave all the bullshit at the door and let's just stick with the facts of whats RECOMMENDED and what has BEEN DONE. If it works, it works. Whatever happened to the "to each his own" thing? With that said, I've got a question:

I want to run 17" wheels. I'm looking at running 30mm fenders in the rear and 30mm in the front. What width and offset combo would yield the fattest lip. Yes, this is for style purposes. As of right now I'm on stock struts with Tien S-tech springs.

I'd like to run about 17x10 up front and 17x11 in the rear. Possibly might go with 50mm rear fenders.

J.T.P. 08-17-07 03:57 PM

depending on what size tires you want to run...

you could get away with a 0 to -5 offset front on a 10"

and +5 to +15 offset rear... with running a stretch you can go towards the NEG of both of these options...

this is going off of what i'm running 25mm front and 50mm rear fenders...

would a 17x 8.5 +30 fit properly up front with 225-45-17 tires?.. would a fender roll be needed?.

those fit fine, no rolling required.

odeezy 08-20-07 03:45 PM

i had some 18x9.5 +15 all around fitment was good with some 245 40 in the rear and the front with some 235 or 225. hella flush

SayNoToPistons 08-21-07 11:17 PM

Someone should really sticky this :) ...

wwgenius 08-24-07 10:38 PM

i want to move up to 18" on my 86.

Im thinking 18x7.5 rims and 225/40/18 tires. What offset should i look for in order to have it not stick in or out too much from the fender?

goreify 08-25-07 07:40 PM

hahah JTP givin RETed the icy ice.
i dont think ive ever seen anyone get put in their place so badly.

jtp your car = hottest fc on the planet
and its probably driven harder then any car on this forum.

wwgenius 08-27-07 09:08 PM

will these work? 18x9 +25 front and 18x10 +30 fit with 225/40/18

RussTII 08-28-07 08:10 AM

can i fit a 275 tire on a 9in rim?

is there anyway to get a 275 tire to somewhat fit under stock (or rolled) rear fenders?

willub and company 08-28-07 02:49 PM

17x8.5 +40 Front w/ 225/40/17
17x9.5 +40 Rear w/ 255/40/17

will these fit? i assume i would need spacers and some fender rolling. any suggestions? they came off of an fd.

it fits the wheel width perfectly IMHO but some zilvian would rather see that wide a tire stretched over a 11.5 wide wheel, oh well.

you can fit a 275 on a 17x10 or a 17x9 out back with a+35 offset.
a+30 offset works on the 17x9 but will rub with a 17x10 unless you also roll/pull the fender out a little.

a 255 up front on a 17x9 +15 fits really nicely under a set of wide fenders and keeps the FCs handling all nicely balanced.

those widths would fit well if the offsets were closer to +25 front and rear
(+30 will work if you run with enough negative camber to clear the fender lips)

15mm spacers are your friends! I bet Rishie can get some for you as he sources similar sized hubcentric spacers for people wanting to get stock FD wheels to fit FCs.
:)

on an FC?
hells yeah.
might be tight up front unless you run a wider fender OR use a 235 wide tire.

Thanks! so do you think i would have to do some major fender rolling?
