NWD - ADVAN RG-D2 17x9 +45

Hey 8Club!

New wheel day! 17 lbs, 9.2 oz on my digital postal scale. With how good recent USD to JPY exchange rates have been this past year, I decided to order a new set of wheels. My wife and father-in-law really dig the machined lips. Interesting design they've moved to imo with the laser etched logo and die stamps.

Also, I find it odd that when I ordered back in Feb/March '24, I had to wait a few months for "production" (no problem here, business as usual), except the newest manufacture date is 23/08/03. And on top of that, the other two wheels in the set have completely separate dates of their own (even older dates, one is from '22). I've never received a set of wheels where this is the case, anyone have a similar experience? It makes me scratch my head trying to conceive what is really was going on behind the scenes. Any thoughts?

ps- make sure to do your homework when buying from USDM importers / distributors of jdm parts from places like Fitment, Evasive, etc. They are still charging $600+ each (literally double!) what they can be purchased for from JP. I paid around $300 each. All in landed and delivered for under $1650 usd. Don't get scammed.

Thanks for looking!

Tough times. There's a few articles floating around on the topic.
