wassup people.
its about time for me to drop my car a lil bit.
i checked coilovers, but they cost bank!!

if i just get lowering spring sets (tein, eibach....etc) i heard stock shocks gonna go out (or ill say blew).

so i checked some of after market shocks like tokico and mayb koni....

so is it ok to use 2 different company? like tokiko shocks n .....eibach or tein springs?

btw... thos after market shocks(tokiko n some other brand) r replacement for stocks right??

so if i get me a aftermarket shocks n springs, itll drop the car and i wont have any problem rite? (like shock goes out something like that)

*** my stock shocks r pretty dammn bad rote now***

please let me know wassup, or if u know any decent coilovers that dont cost too much... please please let me know.

If all you are wanting is the "lowered look", then you can do that with lowering springs and the stock shocks (as long as the spring rate of the lowering springs isn't too much).

Eibach is a linear spring, Racing Beat and H&R are progressive springs. The Racing Beat spring is fairly close to the stock spring rate. The problem with them is if you get larger wheels, the spring rate won't be strong enough to keep the wheels from rubbing in most cases.

Those are the most popular choices when it comes to lowering springs but there are others. I used the Eibachs on the stock shocks for 2 years or more without any problems.

my wheel is going to b 18 x 8.5 (front and rear)
so eibachs should be ok w/ my wheel size rite? hows the camber? is it hella cambered out?

You might try PM'ing "oakridgerx7". He was putting on a setup of 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 (I think) with Eibach. Most likely it well depend on the tires you choose as well.

dubcaps, they might be, I can't remember off the top of my head. I do know that the H&R are progressive and the Eibachs are linear and that the spring rate of the RB's just aren't good enough for the drop as well as larger than stock rims.

so having RB's and stock shocks would rub if I have 17 x 8's?

I have H&R Springs and Tokico Illuminas on my FD using the stock tires (225/50/16). My car is lower than I wanted it to be. Even on the stiffest setting on the Illuminas, I still rub the front tires on the top of the fender well (plastic liner) on hard turns. I'm planning on switching over to 225/45/16 tires up front to eliminate the rubbing. Other than that, the ride is smooth and the handling got better.

The Tokico/Eibach combo works well for the price, though a true coilover will be much better. If you are rubbing with the stock sized wheels and tires then somthing else is probably worn out. I would check the upper mounts. With age they compress and will cause the car to sit lower. Also the rubber insulator that goes on the shock perch that the spring rests on.
