Wow, it's rare that I'm impressed by much on this forum, but you really did a first class job on refurbishing those wheels. I started chuckling when I saw the first picture of your junkyard "find", and stopped when I got to the second post. Nice job. :bigthumb:

Sort of like the thread on AVS Forum where the guy starts off talking about building his own home theater in his garage...

And ends up with this. :)

WOW!!! you have motivated me to find some BBS wheels and refurbish them as well

Carzy Driver 09-28-07 08:48 PM

damn that's a nice finish!!

RDAVEX7 10-01-07 12:28 AM

Dam those look good. I have a set of vert wheels that I have been cleaning for 2 days. They look alright but I think I will try your method and see what happens

Mechanic 10-06-07 01:58 AM

hmm i was doing some search for info on some wheels i sold, apparently they are from the same family but its a 16x8 +25.. sold them though, i suppose the 16x8 was even more rare as the 16x7 has ford knockoffs. (according to what i found)

Fuel4Blood 10-06-07 09:51 PM

Wow I'm impressed man you really cleaned those up.

dregg100 10-07-07 01:55 PM

Stock206 11-04-07 08:05 PM

How much did you pay for them?
Im gonna start looking through the local salvage yards. lol

Silverfc88 11-20-07 05:10 PM

I don't want to say so I can sell them for a decent price later on down the road. :)

willub and company 11-20-07 08:49 PM

damn they look good.

finishline 11-21-07 11:14 PM

sweet. now take a pic from behind. :)

specialop 11-22-07 03:56 PM

Those things look hotness. If I'm not mistaken those came off of a late-90's Crown Victoria. They are great replacements. I can't imagine they cost much. Great job. Did they clear the caliper nipple?

Silverfc88 11-22-07 07:15 PM

Yep your right, but I got these from a 89 Lincoln Mark VII.

You will need a very small spacer to clear the front brakes and nothing in the rear. To make the rears more flush you can probably get some bolt on spacer's. I didn't care to do that because these are my new winter sluts and the track is still open so I still want to be able to bolt on my drag radials.

I know there are some 16x8's floating around, but I can't seem to find a set.
