Help me choose a new suspension...please!
I like the way the stock touring suspension feels for daily driving (taking girlfriend out to dinner, etc.), but I am also looking to start autocrosing my car a couple times a month. I have no clue what the differences are between the different shock/spring or coilover systems out there.
On my previous FD, I had the tokico 5-way adjustables with votgland springs. I was fine with them , but for some reason, someone got the idea stuck in my head that I need coilovers for better handling at the autoX. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Again, I'd like a smooth as possible ride for local use, but a system I'll be happy with at the track too. I know I want the best of both worlds, which isn't so easy, but The best combination would be good to have! Thanks in advance for all your help, Ian |
Check into the Tein Flex. They're very comfortable on the street, and you have the option to stiffen them up a bit for the track. The spring rates are 10kg front/8kg rear so they're not really hardcore, but defintely the most comfortable coilover if you dont want to bounce around on the street.
