So i purchased a set of XXR 527 wheels and i was hoping that they would fit. I put them on the car and this is how it looks. The rears are not bad with either fender rolling or with the feed rear panels.

The front tires are 245/40

All 4 rims are 18x 9.75 +20 offset

Really nice looking wheel.. Too bad about the offsets available. Would look nice with some pulled rear fenders and wider fronts.

I can tuck it a bit, but the problem I am having is that the 245/40 diameter is too big.

I am scared to lower it more and the tire hit the front fender/bumper.

I am looking for suggestion of tires I could run that would fit a 9.75 rim?

you could run a 245 35 18. This is stock diameter and it will stretch out on those wheels and give you a little clearence.

Kumho XS sells this size, as does federal 595 RSR....or you could go with a RE760 sport or Hankook V12 if you want a longer lasting tire.

Not sure if you can fit a 255/35/18 tire or not with the fender clearence. This would be the best fit on that size wheel, but not sure of fitment.

i have no idea how those dont tuck under feed fenders or stock rear. I'm 9.5+22 and 9.5+14 f/r with 235/40 faterals on them and they just fine and mine is on the ground practically now. Try dropping it 1in and get the camber gain from it and see how they fit then.

You will need to do an alignment, but you can rotate the lower suspension portion to maximize the camber on the car. There are two bolts on the bottom of the lower arms in the front and one in the back to change camber (but you will need to get an alignment if you mess with these).

Rotate them outwards or so the indicater on the dial is facing the inside of the car to increase camber. You want the lower arm to move outwards. you need to balance the front and rear one in the front in order to keep the wheels somewhat straight.

I am locating a pair of 245/35s and checking to see how they work. I know, I was looking through pages of people running crazy sizes and offsets and I was confused. I was thinking how in the hell do people run 19s and still tuck them and I cannot run a 18 lol. My buddy has 18s and they look so smaller next to these rims.

I will try the 245/35s and post some pics when I get them on the car. I will def camber the front a little to no risk of cracking these fenders.

I though they would be stronger but they have cracked from my friend leaning on the edge that sits flush with the hood.

I wanted to re-enfore them with some fiberglass but dont want to ruin them.

Your wheels, they no fit! Agree w/ 245/35-18s and adding a ton of front camber, but you'd be way better off with way more offset. Really don't get the point of having wide fenders, then running way-low-offset wheels that prevent you from running wide tires. Also, scrub radius is out to lunch now.

Worth also mentioning that 9.75" is a bit wide for a 245 tire, 9.5" = max recommended rim width, 8.5" = measuring rim width. Maybe with a lot of camber you could run 255/35s?

I honestly dont care about running wide fronts. I just wanted something that would sit flush and also tuck without worrying about the tire hitting something when i hit a big bump. I know that the 245/35s are a bit small for these rims, but I am willing to have the stretch a bit + a little camber they should fit fine. If that does not work I will have to get smaller rims for the front.

dude drop a tire size, drop an inch run about 2* camber they will be just fine....

By dropping a tire size do you mean doing what I was going to do and go from a 245/40 to a 245/35?

Or you mean going down to like a 235/35?

they don't make 235/35/18 tires. a 245/35/18 is about stock diameter....you will gain a lot of room just off the diameter of the tire.

a 235/40/18 tire is less wide, but its still a taller tire (25.4") which I think would be tougher to fit IMO. It will also be more stretched than a 245.

Thats strange, I have the fenders, same sizes and same +20 offset up front and it fits way better than that. :scratch: As said before, try some more camber and a drop. If I remember right I only have 2º up front though. Check it out:

dang i am coming from a S2k not used to seeing that much fender gap, what size wheel should I be looking for in the rear ? Ive been thinking i want to run a 18' RPF1 but what off set to run with no finger gap? also would have 265/35/18 on the rear?

I run a 265/35/18 with a 18x10 +38MM and you can do this without a rolled fender in the rear.

if you want a more aggressive fitment with rolled fenders and some working with the fender, go with a 18x10 +18MM (run a 255/35/18 tire) in the rear.

You can run a 18x10 +38MM front with a 255/35/18 tire with rolled lip fenders.

Looks great.
