FD front and rear brakes from a nissan (114.3 pcd?)

I believe I ran across threads that mention FC cars getting 300zx brakes swapped as an upgrade option.

Well, I have on my 240sx track car some arizona z car wilwood brakes which are 6pot front 13" 2 piece rotors and 4pot rear 12.x" 2 piece rotors.

I was going to sell it but then I thought I'd ask how and if anything could be swapped it being the same PCD (114.3)

I don't have an FD yet, I am going to sell/part out the 240sx and get a stock FD but ultimatley as always the first thing I do is make the car rev happy/unrestricted/reliable with upgraded brakes and the best shocks/wheel/tire combo I can do.. just can't resist.. i hate crap brakes and have high expectations so instead of dishing out money on stop tech brakes or something like that.. since i already have calipers and aluminum 2 piece rotor hats, etc... thought I'd ask only because I lightly remember once seeing a 300zx brakes swap (which is a direct bolt in for a 240sx) on an FC rx7

Not sure about 300ZX parts, but the Ronin Speedworks Mandeville front brake upgrade kit is designed to use a 350Z rotor from the Brembo package and modified FC 4-piston calipers to work with the wider rotor.

FC Mandeville Brakes

That front upgrade kit supposedly work well with the FD RS/RZ rear brake upgrade.

why not get the 99 spec front and rear brakes? that is what I would do if you want to upgrade. you maintain the stock brake bias, and have OEM quality and a lot more rotor thickness and size for heat.

I think you misunderstood my question, I already have a BBK kit for my 240sx which I thought might be swappable if the PCD is the same in case a 300zx kit is swappable over to an FC but I just wasn't sure about an FD.

The kit is on par with something from stop tech with two piece rotors, and its actually very very light, lighter than the 300zx calipers and rotors but way bigger and way better (I had the 300zx setup prior to the willwood setup).

I mean if it's really no point then no point but... then ill just sell it... butsince I already have it i figured id ask.

The only downside to the kit was no rear e-brake.

I hope someone else will be able to chime in :-/ Would be a waste if I just sell it but if I have no choice I will.

Also I have 17x9.5+18 rpf1 all around on 255/40/17 NT01 tires. Would this fit under stock FD body? The NT01 run wider than most tires so it's a nice fit on this wheel. Pretty square setup.

And it looks like wilwood has a kit and look at the price, would be a shame if i didn't reuse these components:

Mine are the bigger 13" rotor which is also thicker.

Since it's the same PCD, I would assume the rotors would mate up. The only thing you would need to change would be the brackets to support the calipers, since the mating points on the spindles would not be the same. The front calipers for both an FC and FD are interchangeable, and have the same mounting points. The rear calipers though are not FD rear calipers on FC brackets?

240sx PCD is: 5x114.3 I believe bore: 66.2

Hey a_ahmed I am in a boat almost like yours. I have a great budget big break kit for my s14. I would dig having the option to move those calipers and rotors over. I will try a testfit asap. I will post my findings.

Okay I can't wait to hear what you find. Worst case scenario I would think we just need to fab up different brackets but if the rotors are good to go great! The rear may be questionable if it'll mount up and how at that though since mine has a CNC'd aluminum plate of sorts that goes on the hub.

So what's new @StanBo_IFX
