Love that aluminum brake cooling backing plate. Very nice

I have an FC and am building it for the mtns and plan to run stock sized rotors as long as I can. I would like to the racing brake rotors, and am already running porterfield R4S or whatever pads.
I am just gonna do a 3" duct from the stock brake ducts to some sort of backing plate. I was going to buy the one from AWR racing, but after seeing that aluminum one I think I'll have to make my own, hehe.

Very nice

I think the AWR plate works well, it diffuses the majority of the air to the inside of the rotor and the rest to the rotor inner face, and the clearance is minnimum. They are very nice. Not quite the level of the setup GooRoo has going but i think they will cool very well.

Ok...digging this up for a follow-up.

Did the same track again with even hotter air temps (32-35C). This time I ran Ferodo DS3000 fronts, DS2500 rears, and ATE Super Blue Racing fluid. No fade at all...so chalk it up to being a dingus running street pads at a brake eater track. :(

On a side note: VMIC and dual oil coolers worked great...all sessions kept water temp around 89-95C and oil temp around 100C.

lol...whoever took pix haven't posted them up yet. this was with my autox club so the cars aren't super fancy. The other club I track w/ have CarreraGT, 997TT, F430, 997GT3, 997GT3RS, Elise, C6 Z06, etc running. Here's a vid of one of my sessions...I'm kinda conservative out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1OQJAaSa80

Looking good! Don't worry about being conservative. At the end of the day, it's about having fun and getting the car home in one piece. No one is scouting for F1 drivers at a lapping event. ;)

Consider N-Tech Lapping day pads for the track. I believe that is what Rynberg uses
