Fc3s. is 12kg front and 10kg rear 32way good for scca?
I have a chance to buy low mileage megan competitions for a low price.
Megan sells different Kg springsrates for the coilovers. BUT IT can only go 2kg +- Meaning, if the front dampeners are for 12kg springs then you can only use 10-14 kg springs to avoid damage to the dampener. They have under 1000 miles i believe. |
I have driven a skyline powered 240sx on Megan streets and 235/255 RA-1 and was blown away by how well it handled and rode.
For reference my FC has been on JIC FLT-A2 and JIC FLT-TAR 255/275 NT01. Springrates you need are going to depend on the tire grip (width/compund),vehicle weight, swaybar selection, aero downforce as well as the lowspeed damping characteristics of the coilovers. That said, 12k and 10k are high springrates for an FC. I just don't think they are 2000lbs FC on 315/335 A6 with 200lbs+ of aero downforce and no rear swaybar high- which would be one end of the extremes in a unibody body FC. |
For 200+ dollars i could order 10kg front and 8kg rears- Still too high?

megans are junk, dont waste your money.
if you're trying to keep it cheap/easy, go with stances for all your "low n stiff" needs. |
WHeels 17x9 all around with 245 or 255 sport tires or slicks. These megans, CAmber adjustments in the rear also., Stock sway bars, Stripped out a lot. Cheap scca car.
And by the way its too late i already purchased them. for 600$, Megan comps. 32 way. adj. |
