i know i want volk or advan, but those r too much for my blood.... dont know yet.
any other wheels u guys recommend?

Enkei wheels are nice, I think they make the stock FD wheels. I dont care for the spoke design of those, but I think they are quality. I think I like this brand the best:

It's a pretty good quality wheel and very light.

Standard sizes aren't very FD-friendly, you'd have to get the 17x8.5 +40 front, 17x9.5 +38 rear. I did notice you can special order 17x9 +45 offset, which would be ideal.

fikse r pretty sweet.... they look really $$pricey$$

dammn 17 x 9.5 b tyte....

ZeroBanger 06-16-04 12:20 PM

Off Topic David..But I see you decided to keep your FD? You were looking a WRX before.....

David Kim 06-16-04 12:24 PM

wrx over FD,..... i figured it aint worth it..... hows dual n1?

ptrhahn 06-16-04 12:26 PM

Serch around for posts by Cossie, I believe he had 17" versions of the RPF1 on his white FD before going with Volks. They looked alot better than you might think.. pretty good actually, and they are very light, and very inexpensive.

The 17x9 +35 wouldn't be the best choice up front, but you could use the 17x8.5 +40 front, and 17x9.5 +38 in the rear.

Its a really long story, but about 2 weeks ago I accidently sold them to sicminded. I LOVED those, it really makes me sad. Good choice on keeping the FD, its an amazing car.

Not only do they look pricey, they *are* pricey. Cost is $800 apiece!

They have an 8.5 +40, and an 9.5 +38. Those are the ones you want.

At a minimum. Ideally, you would have a +50 offset (stock), but almost no one makes wheels with that high an offset. I run 18x8.5/18x9.5 with a +45 offset.

MR_Rick 03-14-05 01:11 PM

man I wish the fron didn't stick out like that

raising arizona 03-15-05 07:37 AM

The offset on the RPF1 wheels / 17 x 9.5's are +38mm and the 8.5's are +40mm

I have these exact sizes on a 91 TII

wptrx7 03-15-05 09:22 AM

how about the enkei rp03 type c, those are alot better looking than the ones above. similar styling to fiske profile 5.

and is it possible to run 17 x 9.5 up front with the 38 offset? (provided that you have the feed front fenders that gives you .8" more room)

here is a really good pic:
