Anyone running 18x9 all the way around with +40 mm offset?
and not rub?
I am contemplating these wheels but 18x9 with a 40mm offset seems like it would rub the front fender. I know that the recommended size for the front is 18x8.5 with +43 offset. Just looking for anyone with like experiences. Thanks in advance. |
i'm running 18x9's up front with +40 offset and 255/35 tires with slight rubbing under hard cornering. doesn't catch on the lip or anything
|
i got 40's in the front also no rubbing unless ur doing autox

Why don't you two post what your suspension setups are? Saying you don't rub means nothing since we don't have any background information.

With my old setup, my front fenders got chewed up like CRAZY:
18x8.5 in the front 235/40/18 tires Eibach springs/tokico shocks (~ 1 yr old at the time) +40 offset I bought them used, so there's only so much selection :( Of course, the seller insisted "no, no rubbing at all whatsoever". The worst part is the sound it makes. Everyone around me would stop and see wtf happened.... |

Thanks guys.
I am a suspension numbnuts. So my only guess of why using coilovers wouldn't rub is because you can adjust the height right? or am I missing something here? |
Correct, and coilovers typically have stiffer spring rates.

Thanks SpeedKing.
