18x9.5 TE37's +12 on an FC, possible?

I've been wanting to get a nice set of wheels now that I have a bit more money saved up from the holidays and work. Would this size and offset work on an FC using stock fenders? Thanks for looking and any help is greatly appreciated.

Jaiyurai 01-17-08 04:16 PM

yes.

you can pull it off with stock body and roll + major pull.

widebody fenders would be an easier solution.

Risky Devil 01-17-08 05:18 PM

Do it. Concave TEs on a FC.

Make it happen

A7X 01-17-08 05:29 PM

the rears will probably be fine... the fronts will deff need some work

DJ_Merle 01-17-08 07:18 PM

I thought about the fender rolling in the rear, I personally think the rear looks the best with a roll, and then maybe wide front fenders?

On a friends car.

Yeh, its not FC. But if a STi can do it. So can you.

Depends on the tire size...
Up front, getting a 225...235 wide tire under is no problem.
If you wanna run wider than that, it's not going to fit under the stock front fenders.

225 or 235 is not going to fit under the front on a 18x9.5 + 12. you can fit 215, MAX, if you're running quite a bit of camber and have the fenders rolled and pulled a little bit...

and then you get this...

I don't think there's anyway a 225 is going to fit on that.

WHAT?
You're telling me you can't pull off this combo without fender pulling and negative camber? :)

yep... lol.

Dorifto_PG 01-22-08 11:31 AM

Doesn't he have picture proof of this?

Its kinda impossible to fit 18 * 9.5 on the front of an fc. no matter what tire and what offset. I fot a 18 * 7.5 et 45 with a 225 40 18 tire. and it just barely fits without rubbing. Thats without cutting or rolling anything. If you wanna go with the 9.5 invest the 600-700 bucks in the wide fenders and then slap on some 285 in rear with 255 in front. get a lot more compliments like that then with extra strech tires and wheels sticking out like an inch. just my two cents.

drftwerks 01-22-08 05:01 PM

nobody cares about 2 cents from new jersy, haha

18x10 +17 - stock metal

hypertek's fitment

Running tire sizes is preference, running stretch or square tire.

But you can't say it won't fit...

look at pictures in this thread.

you're fucking retarded.

4WDrift 01-23-08 11:19 AM

I believe all these fit but i gotta wonder about rubbing issues when driving. It looks awesome but seems like unless you are riding on cinderblocks it would rub. However this does make me think i wont need wide fenders to fit a 17x9 with 26offset. any opinions?

owen is fat 01-23-08 06:38 PM

wide fender for sure!!!!!!!
then run some 245s or 255s on them.
something thin/short so you have as much room as possible.

I like my 18x10 with a 285 up front but I am special... durrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

sileightysr20 11-15-08 08:21 PM

sorry to kind of steal your thread but...

how about 18x9.5 +28 in the rear with WORK XD7s?

I guess this all comes down to what suspension you run and tire size.

I don't see how this is possible. Backspacing does not compute for a FC. This must be a FD.

Rishie

ARD T2 05-05-10 11:56 PM

Just for reference you guys need to make sure that you consider backspacing tolerances for the FC.

My safe offsets are below for FC backspacing with coilovers. I know guys have run higher but these are guaranteed safe regardless of what suspension you get.

Front highest offset fitments. It's all somewhere around there.

9" +20
9.5" +15
10 +9

What suspension was hypertek running?

Rishie
