What offset?

I run 18x9.5 SSR Competitions with 265/35's. Looks great and handles even better

SleepR1 10-21-03 11:40 AM

Those look great, Cossie! I thought you were selling a set? What finish is on the car? They look darker than the standard Titanium Silver finish?

SleepR1 10-21-03 11:43 AM

I wonder when artowar2 will finally post pics of his CE28Ns and V700s??

I'm guessing 47 mm offset?

OC94Rx7 10-21-03 12:36 PM

They look outstanding Cossie! Love the CE's.
Could you show a full photo of your car/wheels when you have a chance?
Thanks
Oliver

I was thinking the samething :D I pm'd him a few months back. He said he had 47mm offset.

Cossie 10-21-03 01:16 PM

yes 47mm

ptrhahn 10-21-03 02:00 PM

Makes me wonder if those 10.5 +47s would fit in back...

These look at least as good on your car as i thought they might on mine, Cossie... i'm sorry now that i didn't buy them!

SleepR1 10-21-03 07:56 PM

Peter, I think the 10.5 wides are 44-mm offset

7racer 10-21-03 08:39 PM

Cossie,

NICE!! Do I see some JIC-FLTA2 peaking out from behind those wheels!!;)

93 R1 10-21-03 09:31 PM

whats the weight on them?

ptrhahn 10-21-03 11:50 PM

Just so happen to have a borowed set of Fikse FM-10s, 17x10, +44 offset on my car right now... its so close, you'd SWEAR it would rub the fender in the rear.... don't think those 10.5's will go....

hi fong...nice to join the rank of ce28n wheel owners LOL :)

artowar 10-22-03 12:54 AM

Looks good Cossie!

I am pretty sure that artowar2 will never post pix of his CE28Ns & V700s.

As for artowar, I don't think I need to post pix now-- my FD is white like Cossie's. After I get my 99 wing and my hood painted and mounted, they'll look like the same car. My wheels may start out with the lighter silver color, but some brake dust will pretty quickly get them to approach the color that Cossie has :)

I did roll my fenders however, so I have no idea whether 9.5x18 with a 47mm offset will result in rubbing problems on stock fenders. I was planning to test fitment with stock fenders, but the elusive Haweka tool somehow wound up in my hands one weekend, and...

Cossie 10-22-03 03:40 AM

haha..My fellow twin to be....

Peter if a 275/40-17 was mounted on the 10 x 17, I can see how the clearance might be a problem. Note the CE28N comes in 18 diameter in 10.5 wide, so you'd need to go with 285/30-18 or 295/30-18 tire sizes. While wider than 275, both are shorter in overall tire diameter than 275/40-17, which could be the difference between rubbing, and NOT rubbing in back with 10.5 x 18s :)

ptrhahn 10-22-03 12:07 PM

I'm talking width. The tire's rim protector bar is actually visible from above, outside the fender... if the wheel travelled straight up (which it obviously doesn't)... it would hit the rim lip... i would think a 295/30, particularly if it had a rim protecter, would hit.... i'd like to see it, if anyones done it.
