Wallace Environmental Test Lab-Houston

Wondering if anyone knows of these guys. I currently live in Japan and would like to bring my FD back when the wife rotates out of here. NTSB web site states that I have to go through a reg. importer and Wallace Enviro is close to san antonio.
any info would be nice. any one know what if would take to bring the FD back or has done this already? Also thinking of just bringing it back as a race car. Cost would be cheap but can only keep it for up to 5 years.
thanks
chuck

My understanding is that a registered importer must not only emmisions but crash testing standards. (example: Motorex and the GTR's they imported)

Otherwise I am not sure. I have not heard of anyone legally importing a street legal post-1995 FD to the states. Good luck.

You can get an exemption as a show car if you drive it less than 5001 miles a year.

Declare it as a 1992-1995 US FD.

It's a 93 model. I am leaning toward importing it as a show or race car then the cost will be small. I know a few people who have done this already but not a FD. I just need a good importer near our next duty station.
