To4s vs. To4r

can anybody give me some experienced based feedback on the two. I have researched and know some of the pros and cons, but would appreciate the advice of more seasoned enthusiasts. thank you

i had both and they both perform about the same but the t04r will make alot better power. it might come onlone just a hundred rpms or so off of the t04s but they will be close. i highly recomend the t04r.

The new GT 66 wheel might even be better then a T04R, or the T04S. They all use the same cover.

cripsR6 04-28-04 03:15 PM

is that a hks model?

Sub Zero, I haven't heard of the GT 66 wheel. Who is the manufacturer for that? It sounds like an HKS model but I don't know. What info do you have on it? Thanks in advance.

Garret makes a 67mm - 63 mm in there GT series. Precision turbo calls theirs a PT 67. I really cant tell much difference by looking at the wheel what the hype is about compared to the old T series, but hopefully if I ever get all My parts I will be able to tell You how it compares to the T-72 I had last year.

i have the T04r on my Fd, it spool not as quick as my T04e, but it made a lot more on top. I have the hks t04r kit.

At what RPM does it begin to generate target boost?
I'm in the market for a single. Right now I'm leaning towards the T04s .70/1.00 intake/exhaust ar with a P-trim exhaust.

my car hit 14lb just below 5200 rpm. the t04e is around 5k, i have a large street port motor.

That sounds a little high compared to what I've heard from other people.

You must be running with your wastegate open ALL the time, or your car has MAJOR issues.

T04E 14psi by 2800~3200 RPM

T04S (60-1) 14 psi by 3200~3800 RPM

T04R 14 psi by 3700~4400 RPM

These are estimates using my own experiances and MANY forum members (other forums as well). It all depends on your set up (manifold type, turbine trim and A/R, intercooler, intake, porting etc).

Actually a lot of it would depend on what compressor and turbine wheel you stick in those housings.

i got full boost buy like 4400 with hks undivided.

Sidestick 05-09-04 06:18 PM

I have an XS Engineering T04E kit, ordered with a 1.00 exhaust A/R to reduce backpressure. 15psi by 3500rpm, stock engine.

Erdin 05-29-04 07:51 PM

Would it also not depend on what gear your in and what speed.
