I meant to post this dynochart for a while...
The car belongs to 1STGEN :bigthumb: 1983 RX7 FB 13B- REW street ported 550cc/1600cc injectors HKS cast manifold T72 hyrbid turbo ( T66/T72 turbo) Microtech LTX8 SLIPPING CLUTCH Tuned by Alamo Autosports in Arlington, TX |
Nice, Can you post a sheet with engine RPM as well? Pics of the car too?
I Love turbo 1st gens. |

Under rpm, you can see the clutch slip.
I can get some pictures next time the owner comes by. He is getting a new clutch, so we will retune with the new clutch. He also has exhaust leaks, and we tuned for 10.8 afr, but it felt like 10.0. So with the new exhaust gaskets, a bit less split, and a bit leaner afr, we are hoping for 470whp at 1bar boost :) |
Impressive. Keep up the good work!

Explain what you mean by t66/t72, all of the t series turbos have the same selectin of turbines/housings/chra's. You choose the compressor side to go with them.

Wow, how you got the 550 / 1600 combination to support that kinda power?
Stock FPR? Are you running higher fuel rail pressures than stock? -Ted |

at is impressive for 9spi!!! damn you and your standalone!
|
something i never really understood, why cant the stock turbo do that......
|
Inneficient at high boost, can't flow enough air...Simple as that.
|
ah. thats damn impressive still though. has to be some good tuning involved

But believe me, the car is INSANELY FAST! I have tuned many high horsepower cars ( 800-1000HP), and this rx7 can really hang with some of them. I guess the weight of 2000lbs helps to run with a 800hp Supra ( 3600+lbs). |
even though that turbo is mixed parts. I was going to get a T72 instead of a T78. if i knew now what i known then I would of gone with a T72.
BTW how much power you think that 550/1600CC's can hold cause i have close to the same setup? |
wow, great numbers!
|
On what gas is this on? The weak 91 octane that's in the Metroplex?
