I just bought one of these manifolds for my FC. After not recieving an invoice or a reply to any of my emails and faxes for over a week, they finally contacted me after I contacted paypal about them. Apparently if you win their item on ebay, and pay through paypal before they get a chance to send you an invoice, you dont get an invoice or tracking number. This made it all very difficult for me to figure out what was going on. All is well now, I have the manifold and it looks alright.

However.... my question is.... I bought this manifold to use with my knightsports upgrade (stock hotside) and apparently it doesn't fit. They did not make an effort on their ebay listing to let you know that this will ONLY FIT T04 turbos. So now I have a dilhemma.... Does anyone know where I might be able to find some kind of adapter flange or something so that I can actually use this manifold with my stock hotside? Or is there some other way to do it?

thanks

Tom

are you serious? i mean they didnt specificily say it wouldn't fit a pickle either... but im sure a pickle wont bolt up.

It says on the auction that it is a t4 flange. If you dont have a t4 flanged turbo.... then it wont fit.

If thats a s4 hybrid turbo you have then you could have got the s4 turbo flange headder they make.

Its not thier fault at all that you assumed you could fit a square in a round hole. Sorry, maybe you should sell it and but the correct one.

hope it all works out for you.

Well, the thing is that the compressor side of my turbo is a T04E. So I was a dumbass and thought that meant I could use this T4 manifold with it. And on the listing it did only say T4 in one place, but that's beside the point.

I cannot use the S4 manifold that they make because the only reason I am buying this manifold is because I need to use an external wastegate. Now I just need a way to make this work with my stock S5 manifold. Any ideas?

so you need a external WG to run with a hybrid s4 turbo.... and you need to make your s5 manifold work.

Im so lost.

I don't think I said I had an S4 turbo...I have a Knightsports turbo upgrade which is a S5 stock hotside mated with a T04E compressor side. I need to run an external wastegate because my S5 ported wastegate does not flow as much as I would like it to.

get a local machine shop to make a flange and the have it welded on. that is your only recourse

I'm really considering using the SSAC manifold on my Cosmo RE motor. I would be able to use the FD manifold...correct?

I'll see if the FC LIM will fit, this weekend.
I bought the FD manifold. for my FD. I used the FC motor to see if the mounting holes lined up on the manifold.

Here's some pics of the SSAC FD minifold on a FC.

The FC LIM would have to modified to install a downpipe.
The turbo exhaust housing hits the LIM. Not by much though. Very little grinding would have to be done. either resurfase the face of the LIM or maybe use two exhaust gaskets or just grind the spot where the two are touching. The LIM went on with the SSAC manifold and turbo installed. Hope this helps.

^ just to make sure we're understanding you correctly. Those pictures are of a 13BT using an 13BREW SSAC manifold? I would hope it's not that close of a fit on an REW.

I tried fitting FD exh. manifold on an S4 LIM. It was with a 1.15A/R housing, and it wasnt even close... the manifold still had about 3/8 of an inch to go on when the housing would hit it. Definitely get the manifold rewelded if you are gong to run that sort of setup, even if the housing doesnt hit, you still dont want it that close to your intake manifold.

I run the ss auto FD one on a FC.

I run one of the RB header flanges as a spacer and use a 1.0 tang hot side. I have alomst one inch of room to work with between the hotside and the LIM.

My plan at first was to run a heatshield, but now i really wanna get a turbo blanket. I dont think the shield will cut it. There is then about ohh i dunno 2 inches or more between the DP and the LIM.. but i angled it away some and then it curves back before dripping under the car.
With a blanket on the hot side and plenty of heat wrap on the DP there should be no problem with heat on the LIM... there should be much less heat than a normal FC manifold setup without anything to block the heat, which is how most people leave it.

I can take pics if need be.
I can also link to the header flange if you need me to. its on the RB website.

Running a divided manifold and divided hot side combo was my goal, I wanted to get the extra help with spool so i could run a touch bigger hot side with my t-70 then most people do on a stock port motor. My stock port j-spec s4 motor spools up this t-70 much better then i had hoped.
Yes there is still lag but the punch is worth it to me.
I make positive manifold pressure by 3k and 12psi by 3.8k or so, Its a bit of a wild ride so its hard to tell. Once i get it on the dyno i will chart the boost and put the graph up.

let me know if you need pics.

Yes. FD SSAC manifold on a FC. Someone wanted to know if it worked. Looks like others have had better luck with there FD SSAC manifolds on a FC

This FD SSAC manifold is going on my FD.

I bought a SSAC mainfold becuase my mechanic has been running the manifold for almost a year now and he hasn't any problems. He beats the **** out of the manifold and it hasn't cracked. The holes on the wastegate flange didn't line up so I just edded up buying an HKS manifold. The holes weren't off my much but I didn't feel like drilling them out. Not to jack the thread but I got it for sale. Make me a good offer. I bought it for 150 even though there selling now for cheaper. Its brand new. Its the shiny one in the picture. The picture is compareing the HKS manifold vs the SSAC manifold. I like the position that the SSAC manifold puts the turbo more then the HKS one but whatever. The SSAC sits higher, fits a bigger turbo, and is more bling bling in your face. The manifold is for a FD if anyone is wondering.
