Single Turbo with PFC Tuning Document Here

I get a lot of people talking with me about tuning topics, so I started writing some stuff down.

Well, 31 pages later, my first draft is done.

Please remember this is a draft, and I haven't even proof read every little line yet myself. I am going to be pretty busy next week, so I won't have a chance to work on the doc to fix errors or stuff for at least a week. But I wanted to throw a first draft out now for people to look at and comment (or flame!).

If you have constructive criticism, please send me a PM or reply here. If you simply want to say it sucks, go ahead, but at least I'm trying to help people out.

I hope it helps some people out!

Updated the document with some relatively small changes. Nothing major, just little tweaks. Download the newer version 0.6 if you like.

Changes from ver 0.5:

- Added a small bit about what Inj vs Accel TPS1 might do
- Added a graph showing how primary and secondary injector staging occurs
- Added a graph showing the response of the stock MAP sensor based on data collected tonight testing my own sensor
- Fixed a link to the Datalogit FD3S Yahoo group
- Fixed up and re-worded some sentences

I just read it from start to finish. The document includes good coverage of the PowerFC/Datalogit features, how to use them for real-life tuning, and a lot of good tuning tips in general. Awesome job, Brian!

finished the reading earlier today. That has got to be one of the best write ups on tuning I have ever read. I definately feel confident to tune my car myself. Do you have any plans to write more on tuning, or is that pretty much it for you in terms of Power fc datalogit?

Well nothing is stopping me from writing more (or clearing up existing parts), maybe later this spring with the good weather to motivate me. I'm glad that people are finding it interesting to look at

Going slowly is the key to good tuning. Another key is don't do anything too aggressive unless you want to push things are are willing to take risk.

I've been intending to get a datalogit for ages; been banging my head against a commander for too long! The moment I finish typing this post, the credit card is comming out! PS, there's nothing wrong with spelling "colour" that way Great article!
