Damn, i go to work and all the good stuff happens.
Back on track. smg944, are you looking for the performance gains of being able to launch the car with a 2-step or more of the "i like the flames and noise"? |
Regarding launch control, how come everyone talks about using progressive fuel cut OR ignition cut? Why not progressively cut both to maintain the RPM?

Last I checked it was 2018. Where's your DBW 2-step control? :P
Honestly DBW is interesting, but I won't be converting my pedal/TB any time soon. Is there any reason not to cut both fuel and ignition? I can't think or a reason, but usually when no one is doing something there is a good reason for it :dunno: |
Leaving the fuel lets it burn in the exhaust manifold and keep the turbo spooled, more important with a massive drag turbo sized for 50psi.
|
Any ignition cut is incredibly abrupt, so it's very likely going to damage the turbo/exhaust system in a short amount of time. 2-Step is purely just a second limiter for launching. Anti-Lag is intentionally retarding timing (to require MORE TPS to maintain engine speed) to dump excess fuel in the exhaust and generate boost pressure at low RPM.
