PTE Billet 6768 is here!
I know everyone's waiting for some concrete dyno sheets on this turbo, but I couldn't help myself. Thought I'd share the beauty of it with all. Billet 67 HPQ (68mm exhaust wheel) Can't wait to throw 'er on and crank up the boost! Hopefully before this blasted season is over.

had to thumbnail, they were massive.
Very nice! Can't wait to see the results.
I'm also eyeing this turbo also,. would be nice to see some kind of graph on a rotary before committing.. anyway how much of a different between the 6765 and 6768????
The difference is the turbine wheel, the 6765 uses a 65mm exducer/74mm inducer turbine and the 6768 (HPQ) uses a 68mm exducer/79mm inducer wheel.
So does that mean more topend while sacrificing a bit of spool?

the nominal 68 mm turbine wheel is basically a Q trim as opposed to the P trim turbine of the 65 mm... and the 62mm is like a stage V turbine in terms of basic measurements
Holy Taylor, steppin it up!
Haven't talked to you in a while! |

thewird I'm interested in seeing how the spool is compared to my make-shift 3574 |

Where can we go to get the full specs on the PTE Billet Turbo line up? Ive searched around online with minimal results.
the nominal dimensions of the wheels and housing options aren't very different from all the other Garrett based turbos (as opposed to Borg Warner, Mitsu/Greddy, etc) out there. the numbering system is just a little different.
I'm pretty sure PTE's turbine line is based on the Garrett ones too, P-Trim, Q-Trim, etc. But, I've also been told that they are different, I.E. a standard P-Trim housing will not fit the 65mm PTE turbine wheel, and I'm guessing it's the same for my Q-Trim 68mm
good luck in getting this interesting turbo evaluated this year and keep us in the loop.

Yeah, I'm still deciding how I'm going to be re-doing my entire setup... Might be switching to water/air intercooled.
Either way, the block is an S4, and it will be the limiting factor here before the turbo IMO. I'll be crossing my fingers when I hit the dyno, I'm already trying to get a spare S5 plate handy :) |
