pt 70 gtq
Im just trying to figure out what kind of hp this turbo will make . when it will build boost and when it will start to run out. also what kind of hp at different boost levels. i am finished with the haltech install and am going to start tuning this weekend. any dyno numbers and charts will be appreciated.

How big are your Kahunas? Except for the twin power you have the start of a 600rwhp@25-28 psi set-up. boost 15psi, and prepare to be disappointed, that turbo wants 20PSI+. You'll make 480@20, and 550@25 with proper tuning. Run 110, and 11.5 plugs. Tune without the water injection, and then add it for safety after you are tuned. Tune without the water injection, and then add it for safety after you are tuned. Tune without the water injection, and then add it for safety after you are tuned. Get the idea ;) Watch you fuel pressure, it should be between 60-70psi under full boost. static S/B ~40-45 psi. Are you using an FPD? What sort of timing will you start with? Who will be tuning, and on what type of dyno? Good luck, Carl

I guess i should get rid of the twin power. what is a good box to use. i really hoped this turbo would build boost better than this but oh well. i have a standalone wideband controller connected to the e11 for data logging and will tune it good enough to break the engine in. as far as tuning there is really no one here in atlanta who is great so i may have to travel. as far as the a 100 fuel pump running it directly from the haltech at 12 volts i have to back the fuel pressure regulator all the way down for 40 psi. i dont know if i should wire it back into the resistor or get a rising rate regulator. what do you thing as far as power at 17 psi.

mabye nitrous to help it spool.

I actually made 480@20 on my 67 on a Dynapack last Saturday, you might make more:D
|
Of course then I'd have to turn up the boost again:D No fair Brian's in your backyard LOL...
|
any good tuners near georgia.
|
Call Charlie at mazcare and get the number for a guy named Ed. Ed comes highly recomended through charlie. I cant remember who but someone else on here(in ATL not to long ago) posted his experience with Ed and his tuning and all that good stuff.

I dont know..but ill find out.

that pt70 is a very nice turbo itll flow over 80 lbs/min. u have to know a .96 a/r is rather large even for a rotary. but your choice in turbine wheel might help it a bit. also in my opinion to get that bad boy to sing youll have to churn some high rpm like 8k and up type of high. your gonna sacrifice low and midrange power for monster top end.youll need all the rpm u can muster to build a decent power band. strategies in tuning will help your spool and boost transition a bit but dont expect any miracles. good luck

i have heard of ed. i think i will give him a try. carl what ignition box should i use. anyone.
|
rx7.com sels a really good ignition box for rotarys. very powerful
