I'm sooooo tired of these threads. Of all the people in hear arguing how many actually make turbo manifolds, actually tig weld stainless or mild steel on a daily basis for that matter?

There are some valid points made that if you don't want to see your not going to see.

If you think putting crap be it a "manifold" or "foglights" doesn't take away the value of a car your wrong. Put a car together using only the best the market has to offer, and one together that is all knock off chinese crap and see which one sells for more. Trust me I have lost a ton of money on my car because all my original stuff can now be bought for half price as a copy. So now instead of rolling up somwhere and people going, "GODDAMN that guy put alot of money and effort into his car", and they cannot deny it has value. It now looks like every halfpriced knockoff that was there ten minutes earlier. The whole market gets hurt by this but no-one cares as long as it's cheap and if you feel comfortable with all this fine, but it is a valid point. I'm sure the fact the demographic has changed, from 30yr olds who bought it for 35K to 18yr olds who bought it for 12-15K has something to do with it.
I see it the opposite way, you now have the chance to get a great looking and performing chassis, FOR CHEAP. Then put the money saved there into good parts.
With the exception of maybe one or two others on this board I see more FDs everyday than anybody. I can tell you, as would they, most of the cars are crap. Then every so often one comes in with all the nice stuff and well maintained. You can tell the difference.

Mild steel manifolds will hold up much better than thin wall stainless, stainless is more brittle, it also has a much higher expansion rate. If they made these in mild they would actually be a better buy.

Yes, I use .625" base flanges. No there is nothing wrong wtih the material. I have my reasons for it and they are sound. My manifolds have been road raced, and are mainly bought by guys who actually road race. They have been drag raced, they have been daily driven for 30K+ miles.
All with power levels ranging from 350-800hp. So I think my material choice is OK, that is why I give the warranty I give ;)

Saying because you haven't seen a pic of X manifold failure, yet there is a history of the manufacturer having numerous failures on a varying products, some vary similar isn't the best way to look at it either. Think about it? Would you feel the same way about brake lines? "Yeah it seems most of all their brake lines have reported failure of some sort but I haven't seen it happen to my particular cars model so they must be safe or better built. "

Plain and simple put whatever you want on your car. This is a very old arguement, cheap people will say your paying for the name, quality people will say it's about quality. Neither will get the others side of it, and just keep arguing back and forth.

And I will clear this up now. I am not being biased about it either trust me, those who buy ebay manifolds are not looking to buy my product. I don't even try to justify it to them. Just like those looking to buy only flanges and turbos from me wont buy a kit. Some people like the feeling of saving money, some people enjoy making their own stuff. Seriously I wish we could ban these threads, along with the "X versus Y turbo" threads, and the "which turbo is right for me" threads. I mean each one of these is posted in here every week.

this nonsense bickering about stuff in this forum is getting tiresome and is driving good posters away. im gonna close this thread as everyone said there point, no need to argue anymore about it
