yo alf i have the dealer catalog for 2001. here is some info, i would have to scan the pics:
y2k msrp: $2,625.19:cool: t-100msrp: $2,858.94:D here is some info quoted from the catalog: "Thumper T-100: 100mm inducer;7/16" quill; flow capacity of supporting up to 1400hp! Avaliable in standard bearing configuration only." "Y2K Competition Turbo: The Y2K turbocharger was specifically created to answer the need for a turbo to be used in pairs capable of supporting 2000HP applications. Featuring a durable heavy-duty commercial bearing configuration in a lightweight frame, the Y2K is a dedicated turbocharger designed to efficiently provide the airflow required for an honest 1000hp plus per turbocharger. Custom built to TURBONETICS' exacting standards, the Y2K includes a fully developed ASME inlet and rigorous VSR balancing. Durable and efficent, the Y2K turbocharger is destined to become a classic." :D They don't list any specis on the Y2K that was it. |

This is a Thumper-92, one size below the T-100. There was a 3 rotor from australia with a Thumper-100 on it. This picture does it no justice cause this was the biggest fucking turbo I have ever seen in my life!

Originally posted by spunup here's a few pics... and kabooski, that turbo would kick ass Spooling RPM: 7500RPM Max HP: 30000HP lol you'd have to make your car with teh redline of a crotch rocket and just steal a fuel pump from a gas station lol. You can even steal the guage to tell you how many $'s/gallon you are using in erm uhm 20 seconds lol. Measure in MPH/gallon, I can hold 18 gallons, I use 1 every 20 seconds, so considering warming up the car I get about 200mph/gallon blah i make no sense |
Here is the T-100 and Y2k turbo

GOD those are huge. Hear is an idea what about a Garrett off a powerstroke :D those are big too since they feed a 7.2litre desiel. And Ive seen lots of them in junk yards too :)

(scurries off to find out the model/size/trim of the PS turbo) (custom plumbing? what custom plumbing? i mean, yeah you'd need to make a manifold, and a downpipe, and a few intake-side ducts, but ya gotta do that ANYWAY) - PJ (the Junkyard Bandit) (edit: fixed math) |
i THINK the powerstroke is like a T-72 or something sized turbo, with an absolutly MASSIVE a/r and exhuast housing. My dad has one of those trucks.
