I just had to

Probably this question was aked before but I just had to ask.

My 1994 FD seals finally gave up and the car been parked off the road since March. Its due to go in for a rebuild shortly and having got just over 300hp from the old setup this is no longer enough for me, so I want to go single turbo.

This seems the only way to ahieve 500hp ore more. To save on cost I need to source the parts my self for the single turbo conversion just thought to check the list of needed parts incase I have missed something.

- turbo manifold
- bigger injectors, primary and secondary
- uprated fuel pump or dual pump setup
- frount mount intercooler (already installed but will replace with newer one)
- igntion system (MSD, AEM, etc)
- ecu (this most likely going to be apexi ecu with fc commander)
- turbo
- waste gate (this is going to be Tial 46mm or 50mm)
- vaccum lines
- oil lines

the rebuild will consist of race port, 3mm seals, etc. I still need to discuss this in detail with the garage doing the work. Normally they give 2 years warranty with their rebuilt engine but they told me if I go single turbo with such powers they will not offer me any warranty.

I was recommended to use go for Turbotechnics GTK 650 http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...s+at+Sema+2006 which retails for almost half the price of HKS or Garret turbo of the same spec and it uses T4 footprint.

Also any suggestions for where to get a decent single turbo manifold or any of the other needed parts? Any feedback or help on this will be much appricated. It just breaks up my heart to see my FD standanding still all this time

My personal reccomendation to you is to look into the Garrett T04Z turbo. It is capable of the HP numbers you are trying to get and from what i hear has good response. It is widely available and you can probably in your area or from the vendors on here. Same with the turbo manafold. Its probably best to get a full kit that includes the downpipe so you dont have to have a custom fabricated one after you mount the mani and turbo.
