How reliable is everyone's single turbo RX7?

How reliable is everyone's single turbo RX7?
Just curious, how long have you been running a single turbo setup, how much power are you making, how manytimes and/or how often do you need to rebuild, etc. Just a matter of curiousity.

Ghost Ride the Whip
The car is a lot more reliable. My air intake temperatures are a lot lower than with twin turbos, my water temps are a lot lower and more stable as well, and also the car can take a lot more abuse on the track before it gets hot.
I would definitely recommend going single over upgraded twins to someone who is planning on keeping their FD for a long time provided that the car is properly tuned

so in general, a single turbo at 17 psi with pump gas is more reliable than a stock tiwn turbo at 15 psi right? also, how long will the turbo last before it should be rebuilt or replaced?

I love my single turbo setup!
It makes 400rwhp on pump fuel all day every day. I get good fuel economy and its a pisser to drive!
Wouldn't have it any other way

Single single single...
1. Lower temps - very hot topic for rotaries!
2. Simplier and less to break - important!
3. More power!
4. No "boost bump" at 4500 rpm to make that edgy corner damn right scarey!
5. It is cool!

I am pretty much amazed every day I drive my car, with single turbo.
I have 566bhp or around 485rwhp in full street trim (pump gas, road exhaust, air filter etc). (In your language "dyno jet") and average 22mpg city driving.
It is my daily driver and have had it in this set up for over 3 years, Only had to overhaul the Turbo once due to my stupidity (I insulated the exhaust housing and manifold "bad idea !!!").
Aside from this, the engine has been totally reliable.
