Not an insert but there race cover. Badass turbo. He would be smart to keep it and run it!

|

I'm using a Gato manifold with a bw s471 and have zero complaints. |

+1 for Gato Performance! Armando hooked me up with a manifold for my RX4.
|
Or you could get this lovely piece from Elliot over at Turblown...

How is that one from Turblown? I see one on his page for FD3S that cost $900 lol, very affordable
|
Quality is superb and places the turbo exactly where I want it.
$900 is the price for dual WG or single. Worth every penny if you ask me. |
I think is overpriced IMO
|
in comparison to what? ebay branded stuff?
He makes it the way you want it to be made. I think that's a pretty fair price for something made to your specifications/needs. |
To Gato Performance and you can see the quality of his work on the pic above. Im not affiliated with no one for the record, I just don't have money to throw away

If you're referring to the below manifold, looks like you get what you pay for... Mild steel tubing, shitty welds and a questionable WG runner design? meh
Attachment 693560 The Turblown manifold is stainless tubing with mild steel flanges. |
How much are the Gato Performance manifolds..divided T4 with dual wastegates?
And why does that one JBF just posted look like shit compared to all the others? |
According to the only vendor site I can find, $641.
The pictured manifold above is what is "in stock". I've seen other manifolds by Gato but what does a custom, T4 divided with single 60mm WG runner cost? |

Yeap this looks like horrible!

At what cost?
|
I believe this one is around $650

No cheapo crappy welds on the the Gato manifolds. I paid $680 shipped for mine. Here is another pic:
https://www.rx7club.com/attachments/...ged-gato-2-jpg Turblown one is really nice as well. |
Mild steel, right?
|
That appears to be ss304
|
guess it would be safe to say itll fit an s366 with a 91 ar. without issue?
|
yes that is safe to say. that s400 has like a 5.125 od inlet if that gives you some decisions lol. it also fits an hx40 with plenty of room.

.

Hey I just visited the Trackforged shop the other day! I'm pretty sure these guys are going to be tuning my rx7 here soon.
|
the gato manifold looks just fine to me. I have seen worse. so the gato should hold up just fine. if you want perfection and have money to spend. turblown is the answer.
