Dyno my car
Here is my dyno graph, I'm pretty happy with the #. I will have to do some more fuel mods in order to turn up the boost. I'm looking to get 500 to 550 rwhp.

Kinda funny having the rpms in the middle of the sheet. I've used a mustang lots of times, but never seen this. Nice numbers though. What kinda setup are you running? Later, CJ |
Damn you pp, I was just about to post it and ask about his setup :p:
t78, apexi pfc, raceported motor, full exhaust, 3row intercooler, profec b, 1600cc fuel system, fuel pump
what kinda fuel pump internal or external?
stock fuel lines or upgraded? stock fuel/modified fuel rails or custom? |
walbo inline pump, stock fuel lines. I will be upgrading the lines and doing another fuel pump
damn, nice #'s, so you are using stock seals?
Damn, nice numbers. And at only 15lbs? Whats the sweet spot of that turbo anyways?
Define "race port" for us :D
Well, Peter, i am sure its nothing like what you brew up over there:)
Oh, since its been a while since i have talked to you, My car is almost running. It should idle by the end of the week, then i just have to talk to BDC and have him come tune it for me :D |
actually the boost was about 16-17, the port is the largest you can go without doing a bridgeport. It's a Pineappleracing motor. 2mm seals
joe, you can tune it here.
the dyno is up and running
good work you beat my best dyno by 2 hp :)
Is that WITH a correction factor, Z?
Did you datalog the run? |
Thanks, but I have a lot more room to go A/F was in the 10's. I need to do another fuel pump and new lines, 3bar map sensor. I going to run 24 on the street
yes! I log it, the dyno is set up to read Dyno jet #
So what is the correction factor that you use to get it to relate to Dyno Jet #'s?
So if you took it across town to dyno-Brian's dyno jet you think you would see the same numbers? |
yes, I would see the same #.
So, what is the correction factor that you are using?
Since the Mustang is a true loading dyno, the dyno numbers from a mustang dyno will come out lower than the inertia (Dynojet) dyno. You should not see the same numbers from a Mustang and a Dynojet unless you are using correction factors, right? |
yes on the mustang # it would be 387rwhp added 18%
That has to be one of the fastest spooling T78 or other large single turbo dyno plots I have ever seen. Add to that one of the nicest torque curves I have ever seen on a turbo rotary, almost too good to be true.
Bravo, well done. Would like to see the dyno graph when you're finished tuning. |
I'd like to see it on a dynojet to make it easier to compare to other dynos :)
Brian |
just got the turbo back from a rebuild, It does seems to spool better.
To calibrate the mustang for dynojet numbers we took a car that had been on a dynojet and put down the same numbers each time and dynoed it on our Mustang dyno. We could figure % out from those results. Along with talking to other mustang dyno owners there is is usually a 18-20% difference in the readings between the 2 dynos. You have to change the weight of the rollers in the software to adjust the HP figure.
