Dual Pump Question
2 Attachment(s)
Well I ordered the PTP dual pump setup about 3 weeks ago, (pic below) but haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone there for the past week. I have a tuning session on the 10th of Sept, and only have 2 days (Thurs and Sunday) to finish getting it ready. So my question is, I have a supra pump in there now, and can’t seem to find the right part # for the supra pump on www.densoproducts.com. It keeps giving me the same part # for the Fd and the 2JZGTE
PN# 951-0014 for both Now I found part #’s for the supra to be 23221-46110 (Toyota pn) = cross reference of 951-0014 and 951-0003 195130-510-12k (serial off the pump) What is the right part #? Im going to fab up my own dual pump setup similar to the second pic if I can’t get a hold of them on Monday. Do I have to use the same pump for the second one? I will be dedicating one pump for each rail and they will reconnect @ the FPR. Now I was looking @ the rp pump just b/c it comes with the pre filter (30$ value) all the other bs doesn’t matter, but if I can find the right PN# from denso I don’t need to pay the middle man (100$ value) Is there a better option in this scenario? I guess id like to keep both pumps the same but I will have more fuel than I need either way. Going for 25psi on C-16 (850/1600) -6 lines all the usual accessories 93 FD THANKS GUYS!! |
I have the exact same fuel system with the same inj. setup too. Works well!

Only difference is I run dual Nipendenso pumps.

Are the denso pumps the same pumps that are sold as Supra pumps?

I've heard stories of Walbro 255 pumps burning out early, but I haven't seen it myself and have been running them on two different cars for the past 3 years. If it makes any difference I'll be buying the PTP setup as well. Maybe I should ask them if they can switch out the pumps for denso units. :)

It's easier to fit the dual walbros in vs. the dual denso pumps! Since the denso pumps are fatter, you might have trouble dropping them in.

Len if you can get the Nipondenso pumps in go for it. They're a better pump. People claim they've heard Walbro pumps burn up, but everyone who says that has only heard of it but never seen it. Again they're both good pumps but if I had a choice i'd go with the dual supra pumps.

I've heard a few people say they've "heard" of the Walbro pumps going out early, but havn't personally seen one go out. FWIW, I was going to go with dual Walbros, but changed my mind, and ran an Aeromotive A1000. -Alex Edit: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=Walbro |
